Mollie Stevenson, Jr. (born 1946), of the Taylor-Stevenson Ranch in Houston, Texas, was inducted into the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame in 2001, the same year as her mother. They are the first living African-Americans to receive the honor. The Taylor-Stevenson Ranch has been in the family for more than 100 years making it a Texas Century Heritage Ranch. It is partly located within the city limits of Houston. The ranch regularly hosts educational opportunities for local children, giving them the opportunity to ride horses and learn about their history. In 2005, Stevenson was awarded the prestigious Chester A. Reynolds Western Heritage Award for her contributions to the preservation and promotion of Western culture. Interviewed Houston, Texas, 2004
