Gretchen Sammis
Gretchen Sammis (born 1925) is the owner and operator of the Chase Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. She has been a teacher and has remained active in the Soil Conservation District movement since 1973. Sammis was inducted into the Cowgirl Hall of Fame in 1986. Kit Carson once had a cabin down the road from Chase Ranch. Interviewed Cimarron, New Mexico, 1995
